Happy Friday! May I interest you in a slice of Brownie Dessert Pizza to make up for the fact that I failed miserably to put together Friday Favorites this week?
It’s pretty darn good. A big brownie slathered with Nutella & Cream Cheese, topped with strawberries and candy. It was perfect for our Valentine’s Day celebration. But, now that February 14th has come and gone, this pizza could easily be decorated to fit whatever you feel like celebrating. St. Patrick’s Day dessert pizza, anyone?
I hope you all had a great week and Valentine’s Day. We sure did!
Now, go ahead and eat a big brownie dessert pizza and enjoy your weekend!
- Brownie Crust
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup AP flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (I used milk chocolate, but semi-sweet or dark would work)
- <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span></span><span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”” data-mce-bogus=”1″>Nutella</span></span> Cream Cheese Topping</span>
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span></span>1/2 cup <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”cup ” data-mce-bogus=”1″>Nutella</span></span></span>
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Toppings
- Strawberries
- Sprinkles
- M&Ms
- Chocolate Syrup
- Whipped Cream
- (These are all suggestions, top your pizza however you desire)
- <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span></span><span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”” data-mce-bogus=”1″>Preheat</span></span> oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.</span>
- Melt butter and then whisk in the sugars.
- Allow the mixture to cool a few minutes and then beat in the eggs, one at a time.
- Mix in the vanilla.
- Next, mix in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
- Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a large, 12” cake ring sitting on top of a parchment lined baking sheet. If you don’t have cake rings, line a large round cake or pizza pan with parchment paper.
- <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span></span>Bake for about 18 minutes. These brownies are <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”are ” data-mce-bogus=”1″>fudgy</span></span>, so you can tell they are done when the edges start to set. The bake time will vary, it all depends on the size of pan you are using, so keep a close eye on the brownies.</span>
- When the brownies are done, remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
- With a hand mixer, blend the Nutella and cream cheese together, about 2 minutes.
- Fold in the whipped cream until just combined.
- <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span></span>Spread the <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”the ” data-mce-bogus=”1″>Nutella</span></span> topping over the cooled brownie, leaving a little of the edges bare (that way it resembles a pizza).</span>
- <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span></span>Right before serving, decorate with your toppings of choice. It’s very important that you wait to do this until right before you serve it, otherwise it won’t be as pretty (the strawberries will get wimpy, the M&Ms will bleed into the <span class=”mceItemHidden” data-mce-bogus=”1″><span class=”hiddenSpellError” pre=”the ” data-mce-bogus=”1″>Nutella</span></span> Cream Cheese, etc.). Slice and enjoy! Store leftovers in the fridge.</span>

Whisk the sugars into the melted butter.

Stir the eggs in, one at a time, until combined.

The best mixer in all the West. (Belle is helping, too.)

Add in the vanilla.

Mix in the cocoa powder…

And the flour and salt.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

She’s mixing with two spoons, people. Genius!

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a cake ring on top.

Pour that batter in! Bake at 350 for around 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.

Beat the cream cheese and Nutella together until smooth, around 2 minutes. Then fold in the whipped cream (ignore the whipped cream in this picture, I was testing the recipe when I took this.)

It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.

Spread the Nutella topping over the cooled brownie.

Strawberry hearts ♥️

Pile on the toppings!
