Friday Favorites

December 15, 2017 by Melissa

Ten more days! Are you ready? Our week was pretty productive, all of our shopping and most of our handmade projects are done. Next week is dedicated to baking and packing for our trip to see family. It’s gonna be the best!

I set up our new tree train yesterday and we’re a little obsessed with it. It reminds me of the train my grandparents had around their tree when I was a little girl. The memories are flooding back and my heart is happy 😊

You know what else makes me happy? Quinn’s stellar wrapping job on the present she’s giving to Wyatt. She was so proud of herself and keeps asking when he can open it. She sure loves her little bubba.

We also had fun with Quinn’s classes that are wrapping up for the year. Her dance class put on a little show for the parents and it was adorable (a bunch of 3 year olds sashaying in leotards is bound to be the cutest).

Wyatt had a big week, too. He ate oatmeal for the first time! We had planned on waiting a few more weeks, but he was pushing the limits on the milk front, so we caved. He loved it and has slept through the night for the last few nights!

He even tried to eat the bowl 😂

What are your plans leading up to the holidays? Whether it’s last-minute shopping or cookie tasting, enjoy yourself and this special time of year. Happy Friday! Here are a few of my favorite things floating around the internet this week.

Favorite Gifts: 5 DIY Baked Gifts in a Jar with Free Printables. I made gifts in a jar from this blog a few years ago and they were a hit, so I’m really excited to try this new batch of recipes!

Favorite Christmas Tree: Reese’s Peanut Butter Christmas Trees. YES!!!! I love me some Reese’s, but I think this homemade version will be even tastier and prettier. Quinn thinks we should add sprinkles to them; I like the way she thinks.

Favorite Fun: 25+ Indoor Winter Activities for Kids. We have been up to our ears in craft projects this holiday season, but I was starting to run out of ideas. Then I found these…
