Happy Friday! How was your week? Are you gearing up for the holiday season? Our Christmas tree is up and I’m about halfway done with our Christmas shopping. The DVR is loaded up with some of my favorite Christmas movies, holiday craft projects are underway, and I made an extensive list of goodies to start baking next week.
Let’s. Do. This.
I thought I’d do something a little different from the usual Friday Favorites this week, in hopes that it might help you out with your shopping. I’ve put together a Gift Giving Guide with some of my favorite kitchen items. There’s something for everyone on your list! From cookie scoops to pans that will last you a lifetime, these are a few of my favorite things!
Stocking Stuffers
1. OXO Good Grips Medium Cookie Scoop I’ve been using this cookie scoop for years and love it!
2. Joseph Joseph Stretch Adjustable Trivet Green It folds up so nicely for easy storage and it looks pretty cool, too.
3. Trudeau 09915131 2 in 1 Small Cooking Spatula, Teal One of the best spatula brands that I’ve found.
4. Comllen Natural Cooking Utensil Set Bamboo Spoons, 5 Piece Wooden Spoons and Spatulas Kitchen Tools with Multi-color Handles I love how durable these bamboo utensils are. I couldn’t find the exact set that I bought years and years ago, but these are similar. Mine don’t have colored handles though, aren’t they so cheerful? 🤗
5. Lodge Striped Hot Handle Holders/Mitts, Set of 2 You won’t believe how often you’ll use these mitts. I use mine just about every single day.
For the Baker
1. Silpat AE420295-07 Premium Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat, Half Sheet Size, 11-5/8″ x 16-1/2″ Baking mats are one of the must-haves for any cookie maker!
2. KitchenAid KHM7210OB 7-Speed Digital Hand Mixer with Turbo Beater II Accessories and Pro Whisk – Onyx Black This thing is a beast.
3. Pampered Chef Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set with Lids. Durable and great sizes. The biggest bowl is perfect for proofing bread or making a big ‘ol batch of Rice Krispies treats. And they have lids!!!
4. KitchenAid KP26M1XNP 6 Qt. Professional 600 Series Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer – Nickel Pearl Because, really. I’ve had my mixer for 10 years and she still runs like a champ. (She’s an older version than this one. And yes, I’m referring to her as though she’s a person. Maybe I should name her. Bertha sounds nice.)
5. Ateco 20175 French Rolling Pin,20-Inch, Solid Maple Wood, Made in Canada I feel like Julia Child whenever I use a French rolling pin.
For the Chef
1. Le Creuset Braiser. A bit pricey, but definitely worth the investment. I use mine for just about everything: one-pot pastas, browning hamburger, making sauce, and so much more!
2. Lodge EC6D43 Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven, 6-Quart, Island Spice Red If you don’t have a Dutch Oven, get one. An affordable addition to your kitchen that will last forever! Perfect for making roasts, Dutch oven bread, a great batch of chili, and the list goes on.
3. Mauviel Made In France M’Heritage M150S 6110.17 Copper 1.9-Quart Saucepan with Lid, Cast Stainless Steel Handles. I got a set of copper pots and pans last Christmas and I love them. These beauties will last until I’m an old lady.
4. WUSTHOF Gourmet Seven Piece Starter Block Set What’s a chef without a good set of knives?
5. Le Creuset Signature Skillet. A good skillet, indeed. Great for making bacon, searing meat, and frying eggs.
For the Caffeine Lover
1. Cafe Du Chateau 34oz French Press Coffee Maker, 4 Level Filtration System, 304 Grade Stainless Steel, Heat Resistant Borosilicate Glass We’ve used 5 different brands of French presses over the last few years (what can I say, we love coffee), and this one is the best. It holds a little extra than the average press and is great at keeping the grounds out of your mug.
2. KRUPS GX4100 Electric Spice Herbs and Coffee Grinder with Stainless Steel Blades and Housing, 3-Ounce, Gray This really grinds my beans.
3. Le Creuset Mug. Who doesn’t love a good coffee mug? And a pretty one, at that.
4. Le Creuset Whistling Tea Kettle. This kettle is terrific! It’ll even whistle at ya.
5. Silly Cow Farms Pumpkin Hot Chocolate There’s nothing silly about how delicious this hot chocolate is.
6. Surprise Owl Mugs, Set of 2 So I don’t actually have these mugs yet. Yet. I’ve been eyeing them for some time now, I think I shall make them mine!
7. Cameron’s Specialty Coffee, Vanilla Hazelnut, 18 Count, Single Serve The only brand of K-cups that I buy now. Aside from being better for the environment than other single coffee pods, they also taste less bitter, in my opinion.
For the Entertainer
1. Certified International Chelsea Mix and Match – Small Colored Ceramic Dessert Bowl Set, 1.5 Cup Capacity I adore these bowls.
2. Taj Elite Round Board. Great for a small cheese board or just to make your countertop look nice 😁
3. Le Creuset Serving Platter. This platter has graced many food pictures that I’ve taken. I just love it!
4. Jade Colored Glass Pedestal Stand. I love a good cake stand. I have the small one and it’s a great size for truffles and cupcakes.
5. Officially Licensed National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Glass Moose Mug – SINGLE Mug We bought one of these for a white elephant gift last Christmas and couldn’t resist buying a couple for ourselves this year. Bring on the nog!
There you have it! Hopefully you’re walking away with a couple of new gift ideas. Or maybe you’ll just go ahead and treat yourself 😉 No judgement from me.
Happy shopping and have a great weekend!
