Dark Chocolate Reese’s Pieces Cookies

October 29, 2017 by Melissa

Care for a cookie? Because I have some spooky cookies with a wicked amount of chocolate and peanut butter running through them. They are frighteningly good. 😱 Muahahaha!

Alright, cookies this soft and sweet are nothing to be afraid of. The only fear is that you won’t be able to resist eating all of them. Then your tummy might shriek at you. 👻Dark Chocolate Reese’s Pieces Cookies | Spoonful of Sugar

The ultimate chocolate cookie, soft and studded with peanut buttery Reese’s Pieces. Perfect for Halloween!
Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package chocolate pudding (3.4 oz.)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups AP flour
  • 2/3 cup dark cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Reese’s Pieces
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet, but dark chocolate or milk chocolate would work great)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with nonstick baking mats or parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Cream together the butter, sugars, and pudding mix for 2-3 minutes with the paddle attachment of a mixer.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla. Mix until incorporated.
  4. Now mix in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and 1 cup of Reese’s Pieces.
  6. Scoop out cookie dough using a 1” cookie scooper onto your prepared baking pans. Press the remaining 1/2 cup Reese’s Pieces into the tops of the cookies. This makes them look pretty 🙂
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on pan for a few minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire cooling rack. Enjoy!
