Hey all and happy Friday! Summer is in full swing and I’m beyond excited that tomorrow is the 1st of July. It’s baby month! Huzzah! 🎉
We cleaned a bunch of Quinn’s old things last weekend, in preparation for the baby. Quinn had fun rummaging through her old baby toys and I had fun reminiscing.
When did my little girl grow up? Love this kid 💗
We also have most of the basement put back together, minus the guest room (we just need to set up the new bed frame and move furniture around). Once things calm down a bit, we’ll hang up pictures and add some decorative touches. Oh, and hide TV wires…aren’t they the worst? But for now, here are some before and after pictures.
The play area in the living room is definitely Quinn’s favorite part of the remodel.
I think my favorite part of the transformation is the bathroom. I was worried the bathroom was too small to add a shower, but it fits beautifully!
We also closed off my old office so we can have a 4th bedroom and a quieter work space. Overall, I’m happy with the remodel, its doesn’t feel like a dungeon down there anymore. Yes, a 3 week project took 10 weeks, but we survived. Patience is a virtue, right? 😉

Favorite Patriotic Sweet: Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Poke Cake. Poke cake is such a classic, and this one takes things up a notch with fresh berries!
Favorite Goodie Bag: Firework Show Fun Bags. Because fireworks watching is serious business, one must be prepared with all the essentials (Red Vines, obviously).
Favorite Puddin’: The Best Banana Pudding. Ohhhhhh, banana pudding! Love.
Favorite Activity: 4th of July I Spy. Quinn loves playing I Spy, so this 🇺🇸 version should be a hit.
Favorite Breakfast: Layered Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake with Cream Cheese Filling. I love a good coffee cake and this one has cream cheese filling. CREAM CHEESE!! (a.k.a. “Cow Fudge.”)
Favorite Tray: How to Make and Style a Decorative Tray. This tray is just perfect.
Favorite Cookies: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos. Because why not.
Favorite Outdoor Decor: Paper Wind Streamer. These streamers are gorgeous!
Favorite Cool Treat: Raspberry Peach Popsicles. Popsicles are on heavy rotation in our house (or as Quinn calls them “icicles” 😂).
Favorite Table Setting: These placemats. Simple and rustic.
Favorite S’mores: Chocolate S’mores Rice Krispies Cake. If you haven’t figured it out by now, my sweet tooth is crazy this week. I just couldn’t resist adding this beauty of a cake to the list. S’mores are my favorite.
Favorite Game: DIY Yard Yahtzee. YAHTZEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
