Happy Friday! We’ve settled back in after our trip to South Dakota and Iowa. What a nice getaway it was. We celebrated birthdays, I reunited with some wonderful friends, and had quality time with family.
What better way to celebrate birthdays than with a cheesecake and a cheese cake? Oh yeah, throw some puns and cheesy jokes into the mix and you’re bound to have a good time 🙂
We also made a trip to a pumpkin patch and apple orchard. Quinn was a little angry that the pumpkins were too big to lift. Better start lifting weights, little girl.
We made the 10 hour trek back home in one day, thanks to some expert driving by Josh. The ride went well, Quinn was happy 90% of the time. (This picture was taken 8 hours into the trip, mid-dance party.)
This weekend should be warm, so we’re going to take advantage of it. Who knows, maybe we’ll hit up another pumpkin patch. We’re pretty wild, aren’t we?

Favorite Pumpkin Dessert: Pumpkin Spice Latte Chia Pudding. Because ’tis the season for PSL.
Favorite Seasonal Box: FabFitFun. Does anyone subscribe to FabFitFun? I’ve been a Birchbox subscriber for a few years and have loved it, but our bathroom is overflowing with sample-sized products. FabFitFun offers full-sized products that go beyond toiletries, plus it’s only delivered quarterly. However, it’s slightly more expensive than the $10/month for Birchbox. Decisions, decisions.
Favorite Soup: Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Look at that creamy goodness.
Favorite Fitness: 9 Morning Workouts Under 5 Minutes. I’m really having a hard time coming up with excuses for not doing these workouts. 5 minutes. Fine.
Favorite Halloween Treat: Halloween Pretzels Three Ways. Super-duper easy.
Favorite Fall Gardening: 8 Vegetables to Grow in Fall Container Gardens. Don’t let the pesky cold weather get in the way of your green thumb (or in my case, desire for a green thumb).
Favorite Breakfast: Chunky Monkey Morning Oats. You had me at chunky monkey.
Favorite Toddler Crafts: Easy Fall Kids Crafts. Grab your glue, Quinn, we’re about to get our craft on.
Favorite Skillet Meal: Sausage Pepper Fettuccini Skillet. Be still, my fettuccini loving heart.
Favorite Football Fashion: This shirt. Go Iowa!
