I don’t know about you, but I’m rather excited that the weekend is here. Time to break out the pool and water toys, because it has been a scorcher around here. We’ve only been able to play outside in short increments before Quinn demands that we go inside so she can stand over the air conditioning vents (grinning from ear-to-ear, btw) ?
Aside from trying to stay out of the hotness, we’ve been admiring the roses from our garden, organizing the pantry (that was a necessity after Quinn pulled every. last. thing. out of the cupboard), playing, dancing, singing, and making our summer bucket list.
For the weekend, we’ll be splashing in the pool, eating all of the meat at a BBQ, and celebrating Father’s Day! I’m beyond grateful for my dad and Josh’s dad, they have been wonderful teachers, leaders, and role models for me and Josh. And of course, I am incredibly thankful every day for Josh; seeing the love he and Quinn have for one another brings me so much joy. Oh, and the fact that she calls him “sweetie” is about the most precious thing in the world.

Favorite Cookies: Pool Party Cookies. Ack! THESE ARE ADORABLE!!!!
Favorite Rug: Birch Lane Lila Pewter Rug. I’m on the hunt for a couple of new rugs for our kitchen. We need something simple, not too busy, and neutral, so this one checks off all of those boxes.
Favorite Cubes: Ice Cream Cubes. Because ice cream should be a staple in your summer diet 🙂
Favorite Toddler Craft : Paper Plate Watermelon Suncatcher. Another craft project to keep us busy when it’s too hot to go outside.
Favorite Buns: Beer Pretzel Hot Dog Buns. Yessssss! Don’t settle for bad buns.

Favorite Lunch: Teriyaki Meatball Lettuce Wraps. I can’t wait to give these a try!
Favorite Pizazz: How to make paper rosettes. Perfect party decor. They’d be super fun in red, white, & blue for the 4th of July!
Favorite Sweeties: Pretzel Ladybugs and Bumblebees. Cutest snacks on the block.
Favorite Throwback: DIY Puffy Paint. I forgot about puffy paint. I FORGOT ABOUT PUFFY PAINT!!!!
Favorite Salad: Chicken and Prosciutto Salad. This is what I want for supper.
Favorite Bucket List Vacation: Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. I would geek out in a major way if I ever went to this.
