Strawberry Popsicles

June 15, 2016 by Melissa

I think we found our new go-to summertime snack! Popsicles are incredibly easy to make and are a healthy treat for the whole family. I can’t wait to make other variations over the summer, so stay tuned for more in the world of Popsicles 🙂

P.S. I bought our Popsicle mold at World Market

From: Spoonful of Sugar
Makes: about standard 8 Popsicles

Ingredients

Strawberries (a little less than 16 oz.)
1 teaspoon of sugar, optional
(2) 5.3 oz. containers of yogurt (I used Chobani’s Strawberry Banana Greek Yogurt)

Directions

Wash and hull your strawberries. Puree them in a blender with the sugar until smooth. If you prefer, you can pass your pureed strawberries through a cheesecloth to get rid of the chunks and seeds (I didn’t do this, because I don’t mind the chunks).

Spoon the puree into Popsicle mold and put the Popsicle sticks in place. Freeze until set, this takes about 1-2 hours.

Now spoon the yogurt over the top of the frozen strawberries and freeze again until set. To remove the Popsicles from the mold, place in a bowl of warm water for about 30 seconds. Enjoy!
