Adapted from Crazy for Crust

Ingredients

8 oz. cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
8 oz. Cool Whip
1 cup of strawberries, washed, hulled, & sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch + 1 teaspoon water (cornstarch slurry)

Directions

Start by making the strawberry jam. Heat the strawberries in a saucepan for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Add 1/4 cup sugar & the cornstarch slurry and heat for a few more minutes, stirring until the mixture becomes thick. Remove from heat and set aside to cool a bit. (Alternatively, you could just use already-made strawberry preserves.)

Beat together the cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar, and salt with a hand mixer. Fold in the whipped cream. Stir in 1/2 cup of the strawberry jam. Chill in fridge until ready to serve.

Top with remaining strawberry jam and serve with pretzels. Enjoy!
