Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins          Printer-Friendly Recipe

From: Spoonful of Sugar
Makes: 12 Muffins

Ingredients

3-4 ripe bananas
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
About 1/2 cup Nutella

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a muffin pan.

Mash bananas in a large bowl. Add the remaining ingredients, minus the Nutella, and stir to combine. The batter will be thick. Scoop about half of the batter into the muffin pans, filling half way. Dollop about a teaspoon of Nutella on top of the batter and swirl into the batter with a toothpick. Scoop the remaining batter on top. Then dollop another teaspoon of Nutella on top of that and use a toothpick to swirl the Nutella into the batter.

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the muffins are fully baked. Remove from oven and cool in pan for a few minutes before removing to cool on a wire cooling rack. Enjoy!
