Easy Pear Tarts Printer-Friendly Recipe
Makes around 9 small tarts
From: Spoonful of Sugar
Ingredients
1 sheet of Puff Pastry
2 Pears
2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a baking mat or parchment paper.
Allow frozen puff pastry to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before unrolling it. Once it is unrolled, cut into 9 squares (or cut into any desired shape). Use a knife to make a border inside of each pastry (be careful not to cut all of the way through), this will allow a crust to pop up when the pastries are baking. Place pastries on prepared baking sheet and brush pastries with melted butter. Slice pears and arrange as desired on pastries. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Top each pear pastry with a bit of the sugar mix. I didn’t use all of the sugar mix, but feel free to use it as liberally as you please.
Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes, longer if needed, until the pastries have started turning golden brown. Remove from oven & allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing. Best if eaten within 2 days of making. Enjoy!
