Painting for Baby!

June 23, 2015 by Melissa

Look what we did today!  We had a fun afternoon painting with yogurt.

026It was a hot, muggy day but we didn’t let that keep us inside.  I put Quinn in a swimsuit, slathered her in sunscreen, and we headed outside to paint.  Rather than using real paint (because I know how much she loves to put her fingers in her mouth) we colored yogurt with Kool-Aid.

013Just sprinkle Kool-Aid powder into yogurt. Use as little or as much as needed to reach your desired shades.

I failed with the purple. I didn't notice that the purple packet was actually a red colored Kool-Aid, so then I tried to combine a blue and a red...but ended up with a weird brown color.

Of course, to best enjoy the painting you’ll want to head outside.  It’s waaaaaay easier to clean up. And don’t forget a wet wash cloth to clean baby up with before heading back indoors.
