Happy New Year’s Eve! How have you all been? I can’t believe that Christmas is over already. In fact, I refuse to believe it so I’m just going to keep the Christmas tree up and continue dressing Quinn in her Elf and Santa jammies. Oh, and I’m not going to stop singing Christmas songs. And I’m going to bake more Christmas cookies. Hmmmm, maybe I need some sort of intervention….
I just can’t help it, we had so much fun back in South Dakota and Iowa with our families. Quinn is a big fan of Christmas. She enjoyed being around family and she LOVED practicing her newfound talent of waving. Oh by golly, that little girl makes me so jolly. 🙂
As I come to accept that 2014 is coming to an end, let’s take a look back at the top recipes from this past year. Here is a list of the Top 10 Recipes on Spoonfulosugar posted in 2014. I can’t wait to start baking up a new list of treats in 2015! Thank you all for being part of my 2014 and I wish you all a very happy New Year!!!
10. No-Bake Triple Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chewy Cereal Bars.
I mean, seriously. Look at these bars. What’s not to love?
9. Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble Pie.
What a lovely pie this was. Having spent almost 5 months of 2014 without eating dairy, soy, and peanuts, eating a sweet pie like this helped me forget all about my diet restrictions.
8. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Hello, cookie. You are ever so tasty.
7. Cherry Bars.
Ah yes, a classic Cherry Bar. It doesn’t get much better than these slices of goodness.
6. Butterfinger Tornado Truffles.
I almost forgot about these! How could I?! Too good.
5. Monster Cookie Dough Cupcakes.
These. Are. Amazing. (And I’m not just saying that because I was 8 months pregnant at the time I made these and was eating them by the fistful)
4. Summer Fruit Galette.
Galettes are one of the best desserts around. Wonderful to eat and super easy to make.
3. Apple Pie Energy Bites.
The flavors of apple pie all in a little ball. Delish!
2. Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew Bars (Copycat KIND Bars).
A fantastic snack (healthy + delicious).
