Friday Favorites

December 5, 2014 by Melissa

Hello to you, it’s Friday!  Did you all have a nice Thanksgiving?  I can’t believe it’s over already and now Christmas is right around the corner.  I need to finish buying presents and then it’s time for a gift wrapping extravaganza (coupled with Christmas movie watching, obviously).  That will be followed by a crazy amount of cookie baking.  So much to do and I’m gonna love every minute of it!  Quinn will keep an eye on the tree…

319She isn’t quite sure what to think of the tree; half of the time she ignores it and the rest of the time she is trying to figure out how to grab it.

Tomorrow morning we are taking our Christmas photos, so I played dress up with Quinn today…388She’s prepared.  Now what in the world should Josh and I wear?  Nothing like figuring it out at the last-minute.  Whoopsie!

Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  Let’s kick it off with my favorite things from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites!

Favorite Household Fix: Fix Squeaky Floors with Baby Powder.  Seriously?  I am trying this out ASAP.  Enough of the tiptoeing around on the squeaky floors after the little one has gone to sleep.

Favorite Dunker: Cheese Stuffed Monkey Bread.  I’m on a Monkey Bread kick and this savory version of the bread looks delicious!  Pass the tomato soup, I’m going to get my dunk on.

Favorite Storage Solution: How to store wrapping paper.  “Oh Josh, please don’t throw away the toilet paper rolls.”  I’m already prepared for the odd look I’m going to get with that request.  But I’m also prepared for the praises that will ring when he sees how organized our wrapping paper is.  Riggggghht. 😉

Favorite Giving Back Tip: What Food Banks Need Most (and what they get too much of).  I found this list to be very helpful.  While I’m buying presents and counting my many blessings, I’m also trying not to forget those in need this holiday season (and year-round).  I want to make more of an effort to donate my time, money, and goods to others…perhaps I already have my New Years resolution figured out . 🙂Photo courtesy of Foodlets
