We are doing something truly scary this Halloween: we are taking Quinn on an airplane for the first time. Eeeek! It will be fine, right? Right?! Wish us luck! I’m looking forward to landing and having the first airplane ride behind us. Then it will be a fun week of visiting with family and friends and celebrating the wedding of my dear friend, Ashley! I can’t wait for all the good times this week will bring!
Think this will work for the Trick or Treaters? Either the kids will obey the sign and only take a few treats or the first kid will take the entire bucket of candy. I guess we’ll never know. 🙂
I hope you all have a great weekend, remember to treat yourself!! I’ll be taking next week off from blogging, but will be back the following week with a yummy pumpkin recipe and more Friday Favorites. Now I leave you with this week’s Friday Favorites. Please enjoy my favorite goodies from around the web!
***click on the red text to be led to the sources of my favoritesFavorite Cupcake: Candy Corn Cupcake. Frosting piled high. Sprinkles everywhere. That’s my kind of cupcake!
Favorite Spooky Game: Boo Bowling. Ok, so this is way more adorable than it is spooky, but a great Halloween game for the little ones in your life.
Favorite Chocolate: Halloween Oreo Truffle Bark. Look at all that chocolate goodness!
Favorite Costume: Mary Poppins. I haven’t dressed up for Halloween for a few years, but I’m sure Quinn will want me to dress up in the future. Right? Or I’ll just be that mom that embarrasses her by dressing up as Mary Poppins every year. British accented included.
Favorite Veggie: Waffle Iron Winter Squash. Fabulous idea! Quinn has been eating squash all week and it has been a smashing success. Now I’m in the mood for squash and I just love the idea of cooking it in a waffle iron!
Favorite Kid’s Craft: Glove Monsters. So cute (and not just for Halloween).
Favorite Cookies: Peanut Butter Cut Out Cookies. A cut out recipe for peanut butter cookies?! Yes, please.
Favorite Front Door Decor: Boo!! Someone remind me of this project next year. Please and thank you. 🙂
Favorite Bites: Candy Corn Pretzel Bites. Pull all the Hershey’s Hugs and Candy Corn out of your candy baskets and make these!
Favorite Kitchen Accessories: Magic Decal Tutorial with Free Printables: Labels for Kitchen Canisters. Moving away from Halloween for a moment, let’s all agree that these labels are fantastic. Love them!
Favorite Soup: Autumn Harvest Soup with Candied Cranberries. A lovely soup packed with tons of flavor. Yum!
Favorite Stands: DIY Dollar Store Cake Stand. I made DIY Cake Stands a couple years ago and I love this twist on them. Using a tart pan gives the stand a fun flare. Also, thinking way ahead to Christmas, these would be fun to give to people (goodies included on the stand, of course).
Favorite Treats: Pumpkin S’mores Rice Krispies Treats. If you know me, you know that I love all things pumpkin and all things S’mores. So these treats are a MUST!
Favorite Funny: 73 Awkward Halloween Costumes. Ummm, are they supposed to be grocery bags? I’m having a hard time moving past the cracker boxes on their heads! Cracker boxes on their heads?! Did they glue them to their faces?
Have a safe and fun Halloween weekend!!
