Hey, it’s Friday! We had so much fun last weekend with my sisters here, I loved every minute of it (well, except for the goodbye part). With company gone and a tax deadline done, I think this weekend will be pretty low-key. Fingers crossed that Josh gets the weekend off!
Another fun part of this past week was Quinn’s 6 month birthday last Saturday. My, how 6 months flew by! Our little peanut is growing into a silly baby, full of personality and eagerness to learn. We celebrated her 1/2 year with her first food: rice cereal! She is really getting the hang of eating and we’re moving onto squash this weekend! I can’t wait to share the messy pictures with you. 🙂
Have a fantastic, fall weekend! Let’s kick it off with my favorite things from around the web: it’s time for Friday Favorites!
***click on the red text to be led to the sources of my favoritesFavorite Meal: One-Pot Autumn Herb Roasted Chicken with Butter Toasted Wild Rice Pilaf. Happy fall, y’all!
Favorite Front Porch: Fall Porch Decor. Time to buy all the ghords to jazz up our front porch. (Isn’t that blue planter gorgeous?)
Favorite Cookies: Caramel Stuffed Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Chocolate, check. Caramel, check. Pumpkin, check. Yep, all of these things add up to the perfect cookie.
Favorite Hair Trick: Fake a Pro Blowout with a Curling Iron. My hair could use some bounce. But let’s face it, I’m not the kind of lady that is going to have my hair blown out in the salon. I need something that’s easy to do at home. It will make getting baby spit up in my hair much less devastating. 🙂
Favorite Topping: Cinnamon Whipped Cream. I want to put this on everything. Ok, not everything. I won’t be putting it on top of meat, but my morning coffee and anything pumpkin better watch out!
Favorite Hair Accessory: Little Leaf Headband. Wait, do I post too many headbands on my Friday Favorites? You would think that I wear headbands all the time, but I don’t. Time to change that. It is decided!
Favorite Handheld Meal: Roasted Sweet Potato and Black Bean Tacos with Goat Cheese. Hello, deliciousness!
Favorite Craft Effect: The Ripped Effect. What a neat trick! I just love anything rustic/country.
Favorite Pasta: Pumpkin Macaroni and Cheese. Oh for the love of creaminess. Pumpkin is such a wonderful addition to a cheesy bowl of mac & cheese.
Favorite Pumpkins: 35 New Ways to Decorate Your Halloween Pumpkins. I need to go pumpkin shopping (is that a real thing?). I really love this idea for decorating pumpkins. It’s like the grown up way to decorate pumpkins.
Favorite Treat: Brown Butter Dulce de Leche Milk Chocolate Drizzled Crisp Rice Treats. These Crisp Rice Treats are like Rick Krispies older, more mature sister.
Favorite House Number: DIY Address Number Wall Planter. Pretty, pretty!
Favorite Soup: Spicy Chorizo Chowder. Come here, you spicy little bowl of chowder. Yum.
Favorite Fashion: Plaid Flannel Shirt from H&M. I’m kicking myself for not buying this shirt last weekend at H&M. It has elbow patches on it, guys!
Happy Friday!

Awesome favorites! I will definitely be trying that one-pot meal and that chorizo chowder sounds absolutely perfect for a chilly evening. Ohh and I’ve got a weakness for plaid myself!
Your little one is tooooo adorable! Happy fall weekend.
