Green Tea Lemonade (Starbucks Copycat)

August 14, 2014 by Melissa

Summertime calls for refreshing drinks and this Green Tea Lemonade is the ultimate refresher.  Move over Starbucks, I’ve got this one covered.

Green Tea Lemonade (Starbucks Copycat)    Printer-Friendly Recipe

From: Momtastic
Makes about 1 ½ cups Green Tea Lemonade before ice

Ingredients

3 tablespoons granulated sugar, plus more to taste
1 green tea bag
½ cup boiling water
¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 2 lemons)
¾ cup cold water
Ice cubes

Directions

Boil 1/2 cup of water and add to a glass with 3 tablespoons of sugar and a green tea bag.  Steep the tea for about 3 minutes.  Remove the bag and stir to help dissolve the sugar.  Add in the lemon juice and 3/4 cup cold water.  Stir well.  Do a taste test-if you want a less tart tea, add a little more sugar.  Pour the tea over ice.  Enjoy!

Boil that water!

Sugar & green tea.

Steep the tea in the 1/2 cup boiled water and sugar. Sugar water is the best.

After steeping & stirring, add in the cold water.

Squeeze the lemon juice in. Stir and add ice. Enjoy!
