Hey, hey it’s Friday! I’m looking forward to Josh having the weekend off (fingers crossed) so we can have all of the family fun time possible. Will Quinn roll over this weekend? Will the weather cool down a bit so we can go outside? Will I finally do some yoga before my yoga mat gets lost under a pile of dust? Or will I just eat a bunch of cake? Who knows?! I’ll be honest, Quinn rolling over and me celebrating the milestone by eating cake sounds like a great weekend to me. Maybe I’ll eat the cake on my yoga mat, that should help clear the dust off. 🙂
Or I’ll just spend my time staring at this cutie pie.
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Cram as much fun into it as you can! Let’s kick it off with my favorite things from around the world-wide web in this week’s Friday Favorites.
***click on the red text to be led to the sources of my favoritesFavorite Bite: Nutella Crunch Cake Balls. HELLO! Tasty, tasty looking treats.
Favorite Bag: DIY Tank Top Tote in 5 Minutes. I recently went through my closet to rid it of clothes that I no longer need, so I think I have a couple of tank tops that are perfect for this project!
Favorite Bars: Apple Pie Bars. Apple pie is the best and I’ll never pass up on a good bar.
Favorite Storage: DIY Bathroom Mirror Storage Case. This blog never fails to impress me with all of its DIY projects. This storage would be A-mazing to have. Also, I don’t have a full length mirror, so it would be nice to know what the lower half of my outfits look like. 🙂
Favorite Drink: Caramel Mocha Iced Coffee Concentrate. I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I have yet to drink an iced coffee this summer. How this is possible, I do not know. I better get to it before summer is over. Caramel Mocha Iced Coffee sounds like the perfect drink.
Favorite Food Trick: How to cut Watermelon Sticks. I’m just gonna go ahead and slap myself on the forehead for not thinking about this trick before. Watermelon sticks, brilliant! Now I can eat watermelon like a lady (read: no more watermelon juice all over my cheeks and dripping down my face).
Favorite Breakfast: Baked Cinnamon Sugar Donuts. Oh, I do love a good donut. Yum.
Favorite Table Runner: Chalkcloth Runner. What a great idea. Make your own with this fabric!
Favorite Muffins: Chocolate Cherry Zucchini Muffins. For those of you with an overabundance of zucchini in your gardens, make these muffins!
Favorite Coasters: Color Blocked Coasters. Me likey.
Favorite Side Dish: Black Eyed Pea Salad. Make this while listening to the Black Eyed Peas. Just kidding. It isn’t 2004 anymore. (Oh go for it, who am I to judge?)
Favorite Sign: But First, Coffee. I don’t know how many times I’ve told Quinn “Mama needs her coffee first.” She doesn’t understand yet. She will someday.
Favorite Cake: Peach Vanilla Bean Bundt Cake with Peach Soaking Syrup. I have two bundt pans that I’ve never used. Whoopsie. This is just the cake to break in one of those pans.
Favorite Baby Tips: What to do with baby…ALL DAY LONG. There are some great ideas on this list. Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do with a baby all day long. I worry that she’s either bored or overstimulated. Is she learning enough? Do I get her outside of the house enough? How many times will I sing “I’m a Little Teapot” before she’s sick of it? (I’ve started singing it in different accents/voices to maintain my sanity. Or maybe that means I’ve lost it…) These questions, and about 1,542 more, are what roll through my head on an average day. I love that Quinn is starting to enjoy everything around her, it makes entertaining her so much easier!
Happy Friday!
