What is the quintessential summer dessert? In my humble opinion, it is the S’more. I just don’t think you can beat graham crackers smushing charred marshmallows and oozing chocolate together. It’s a magical mess and I’ll take those flavors in any form. Fortunately, there are tons of S’more inspired recipes out there including this one for S’mores Bark. It’s a super easy recipe to make and one that will leave you asking for s’more. <—(sorry I couldn’t help myself)
S’mores Bark Printer-Friendly Recipe
Recipe slightly adapted from: Wine & Glue
Ingredients
3 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup marshmallow fluff
3 sheets of graham crackers
A handful of Mini marshmallows
Directions
Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside. Add 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips to a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir and microwave for 10 seconds more, stir again and repeat in 10 second intervals until totally melted (it took me 60 seconds). Spread the chocolate on the prepared cookie sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Melt the white chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Again, microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and then microwave for 10 seconds at a time stirring in between until melted (it took me 40 seconds). Add in the marshmallow fluff and microwave for 30 seconds. Stir together and quickly spread the mixture over the hardened chocolate layer. Crumble 2 sheets of graham crackers and press them into the marshmallow layer. Now refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Melt the last 2 cups of chocolate chips in the microwave (30 seconds, stir, 10 seconds, stir, you know the drill). Carefully spread over the top of the marshmallow & graham cracker layer. Crush up the final graham cracker sheet and sprinkle it along with some mini marshmallows over the top of the chocolate layer and gently press them down. Place the bark in the freezer for two hours. Once it is set, take it out and break it apart with your hands or, like I did, with a pizza cutter. Store in the refrigerator for a harder bark or at room temperature for a softer bark. Enjoy!
