My favorite purchase of the week
Why did I start Friday Favorites off with a picture of baby girl booties you ask? I’ll give you one guess. Yep, you guessed it…we’re having a GIRL!!! It’s been an exciting week here finding out the gender of our little peanut. It doesn’t seem real, but it is! It goes without saying, but we would have been happy with a girl or a boy as long as we had the comfort of knowing that the baby is baking just as she should be. I’m feeling more and more kicks everyday and am reminded of what a wonderful blessing this little baby girl is to us. Gosh, I couldn’t be happier. 😀
On top of that good news, the snow and ridiculous cold have reminded me that Christmas is around the corner. We did a bunch of online shopping last weekend and the presents have started showing up. I practically skip my way to the mailbox to see what goodies have arrived. Time to wrap, decorate the tree, and have dreams of dancing sugar plums. Before I do that though, I better get ready for Josh’s work Christmas party tonight. Wish me luck sucking myself into tights. Yikes! Favorite Cheap Decor: Glittered Deer Table Decorations. Martha knows best. Just buy cheap toy deer and glue glitter on them.
Favorite Treat: Peanut Butter Oreo Cookie Balls. Hello! Easy to make and hard to resist…just what I’m looking for.
Favorite Blanket: Martin Fair Isle Cozy Knit Throw at Pottery Barn. With the freezing temps outside, one needs a blanket like this.
Favorite Holiday Appetizer: Easy Cheese Ball. Cheese balls seem to roll out this time of year. Rather than buying the packaged kind, why not try making your own this year?
Favorite Gift Wrap: Gift Wrap for Kids. Wrap a box in white paper and tape crayons or markers to the outside. If the kids are anxious to open their presents (because they will be) just have them color while they wait.
Favorite Cookies: Eggnog Cookies made with cake mix. Even if you’re afraid of Eggnog, you might find that you love the flavor of Eggnog in cookie form.
Favorite Prank: Jimmy Kimmel pranks John Krasinski. Can somebody please come make Christmas throw up all over our house? That would be wonderful.
