Happy Friday, folks! Did you have a nice week? My week was good, the highlights were hearing our baby’s heartbeat again yesterday (sweetest sound in the world), getting all the gear for prenatal yoga, receiving my order of new maternity clothes from H&M (and loving all of it), and buying some delicious smelling fall scented candles and hand soaps from Bath & Body Works. I’m looking forward to getting my pregnant butt moving again now that the nausea is settling down, prenatal yoga sounds like a good way to do just that. Wish me luck!
This weekend should be fun, the husband and I are going down to Colorado Springs for the Notre Dame vs. Air Force game and it looks like the weather is going to be lovely. I hope you all have something fun planned for the weekend! In the meantime, please enjoy my favorite things from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites.
***click on the red text to be led to the sources of my favoritesFavorite Cupcakes: DIY Monster Cupcakes. These are frighteningly adorable.
Favorite Utensils: DIY Paint Dipped Wooden Utensils. Great idea! I wonder what kind of paint would work best for this?
Favorite Dip: Peanut Butter Caramel Snickers Dip for Apples. Have you ever eaten Apple Snickers Salad? If you haven’t, just know that it’s amazing. And then set aside some Fun-Sized Snickers from your Halloween candy stash and make some of this dip. It looks glorious.
Favorite Towel: Turkey Linen Dishtowel. I know Halloween hasn’t happened yet, but Turkey Day is coming, Turkey Day is coming!!
Favorite Soup: Chickpea Tomato Minestrone. Pass me a big bowl of this soup, it looks tasty!
Favorite Slippers: Acorn Sheepskin Moxie Boot. I’m looking for warm footwear to wear around the house. This is what I’m looking for, but is $135 overpriced?! I do work from home, so I’d get a lot of use out of them.
Favorite Snack: Apple Cider Muddy Buddies. I always love seeing new takes on the traditional muddy buddy recipe. This one look perfectly snackable. 🙂
Favorite Vases: DIY Candy Corn Mason Jars. What a (rustic) chic way to decorate with candy corn colors.
Favorite Pasta: Baked Pasta with Squash and Kale. Fall comfort food at its finest.
Favorite Kitchen Organization: Five ways to organize pot lids. I don’t know if it’s the hormones or what, but there have been several times in the last few weeks that I have wanted to throw our pan lids across the room. Seriously, they are falling all over the place in our pan cabinet. Not cool lids, not cool.
Favorite Crockpot Recipe: Cherry Cobbler. Three ingredients, people: Cherry pie filing, butter, and yellow cake mix. Crazy good recipe for those crazy busy days.
Favorite Gloves: The North Face Women’s Etip Gloves. I need to stop buying cheap gloves that fall apart and don’t keep my fingers warm. Will these work? Or does anyone have a good pair that they recommend?
Favorite Cookies: Pecan Pie Cookies. The great taste of pecan pie made easy in these cookies.
Favorite Halloween Costume: Baby LED Light Suit Halloween Costume. Hilarious and adorable. Can I have this in an adult size?
By request, here are some baby bump pics:
