One sign that I’m getting older, I woke up at 5:30 on my day off. Isn’t that neat? I could get used to this early bird stuff though, I already have my day mapped out: clean, get creative with crafts, bake, and read! I have been on a classic lit kick lately, I just finished up A Tale of Two Cities and 1984, now I’m moving onto The Old Man and the Sea. Hooray for books and Friday! To kick off the weekend, please enjoy my favorite things from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites.

Favorite Gift: DIY Ice Cream Sundae Gift Box. Anyone who likes the recipe above would probably love receiving one of these gift boxes.
Favorite Pasta Topper: Homemade Basil-Pesto. Our basil plant has been going strong all summer and I really need to use some of it up. Pesto it is! Josh doesn’t like it, but that just means more for me. 🙂
Favorite Mask: DIY Honey Lemon Mask for your face. I was a little skeptical that putting honey on my face would be a good thing, but I went for it. I did this mask earlier this week and my skin was left incredibly soft! Try it.
Favorite S’mores: S’mores Truffles. Sometimes I think I could have an entire Friday Favorites dedicated to S’mores.
Favorite Floral Arrangement Tip: Use a tape grid for the base of your floral arrangement. Watch out Martha, here I come!
Favorite Drink: Healthy Strawberry Milkshakes. You had me at milkshake.
Favorite Furniture: Turquoise End Table. The interwebs tell me that this pretty end table is actually a garbage can that has been spray painted and overturned. Nifty!
Favorite Fries: Buffalo Chicken Waffle Fries. Buffalo wings taken to the next level.
Favorite Money Saving Trick: Sharpen a razor with jeans. Ohhh, I need to try this. Is it just me or do razors seem overpriced?
Favorite Topping: Liquid Cinnamon Roll Syrup. I will put this on everything.
Favorite Wall Hangings: Barnyard frames with burlap. What a pretty idea. Add that to my craft list!
Favorite Chips: Baked BBQ Sweet Potato Chips. I’m a sucker for potato chips, especially BBQ chips. These can be eaten without the inevitable regret that usually follows eating potato chips.
Favorite Fitness: Good Morning Yoga Sequence. I’ve been looking for a good workout. My back hurts from sitting in a chair all day and I’m thinking that yoga could be a good way to loosen me up. I’ll give this a shot!
Favorite Breakfast: Queso-ized Breakfast Burritos. Now the real question is, do I eat these burritos before or after my morning yoga session? Yoga and burritos (with insanely good queso) are part of a well-balanced life. 🙂
Favorite Sign: I always hope this will happen.
Happy Friday!
