It is a happy Friday indeed. Today we are saying good-bye to our house in Brighton and moving the last of our stuff storage. Now, as much as I loved our house, I’m really enjoying our new place and am REALLLLY happy that we will be done making trips out to the old house to clean and move stuff. It has seriously consumed so much of our weekends for the past month.
We’re also having guests for the weekend! Our friends from Atlanta, Joe & Amanda, are coming to visit us. They will be our first guests at the new place! It is sure to be a fun weekend. 🙂
I hope you all have a nice weekend! Please enjoy my favorite things from around the web in this week’s Friday Favorites.

Favorite Cupcake: Meatloaf Cupcakes. Meatloaf is my favorite. ‘Ma, the meatloaf!
Favorite Clothing: Threads 4 Thought. Not only are these clothes made from sustainable materials in factories that treat their employees fairly, the clothing looks great on! I would live in my $10 navy v-neck if given the option.
Favorite Pasta: Orzo Pasta with Chicken, Fresh Herbs, & Feta is a dish that can be made in under 30 minutes and would be great for a simple dinner.
Favorite Workout: The 8-Minute Better-Back Workout. My back is 29 going on 70, this workout could be a real back-saver!!
Favorite Salad: Lobster and Potato Salad. Smitten Kitchen is one of my favorite food blogs, her recipes and pictures are fantastic. This post, aside from having a great recipe, has a fun story about spending a day with Ina Garten. Color me jealous.
Favorite Hair: Hot Crossed Bun (Remix). With my shorter new ‘do, my pony tail is looking a little ridiculous. So hooray for this updo that is uber cute.
Favorite Tart: Cherry Ricotta Tart. The kind of dessert that would knock the socks off of your guests.
Favorite Advertising: NYC Thirteen’s (a local PBS affiliate) advertisements making fun of reality television. Very clever.
Favorite Pops: Banana Split Pie Pops. Well look at what dessert on a stick it outshining all the others in the cute department.
Favorite Game: Skee Ball!!! I loved this game as a kid! Instructables gives you a plan for making a Skee Ball Game of your own. Say what?!
Favorite Snack: Yogurt Covered Blueberries. Healthy and tasty, I can’t argue with that combo.
Favorite DIY Soap: Foam Soap for under $4 a year. Who knew that all you need for foam soap is a little bit of soap and a lot of warm water. That’s it. I am soooo going to try this.
Favorite Cake: Carrot Layer Cake. This blogger has taken on the challenge of making 26 recipes from the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook (#1 on my “must buy” list)! What a brilliant idea.
Favorite Bag: I like big books an I cannot lie! Giggle, giggle.
Favorite Indulgence: Cheesy Cajun Fries with Grilled Corn Guacamole, Bacon and Fried Eggs. ALL OF THESE THINGS!!!!
Favorite Funny: Josh can attest to this, I do this all the time!
Happy Friday!

I love that you’re posting Momofuku recipes, they are so yummy looking! Too bad it’s hard to mail cakes. 🙂 I guess I’ll just need to make my own!
