Hi all! I just wanted to post a quick update and let you all know why I’ve been absent. My Grandma Fuoss passed away last Saturday evening so I have been spending time away from my computer and have been with my family. I was fortunate enough to finish up tax season on the 15th and fly back home the next day so I could see her and say good-bye. It’s been a blur and reality hasn’t completely set in yet. I appreciate everyone who has kept me and my family in their thoughts and prayers, that means so much to us. My grandma meant the world to me, I would be happy to be even half the woman she was. The happy memories I have are countless and I will cherish them forever. The memories I will hold especially close to my heart are the ones of her on the farm cooking up a storm. Her love of cooking and baking are one of the main reasons I love to be in the kitchen. She taught me that food is love. Though I will miss her tremendously, I know that she is in a beautiful place now.
I’ll be back to a regular posting schedule next week! Baking is therapeutic, I tell you. 🙂
