Friday Favorites

Spring has arrived!!  It was a beautiful 70 degrees here today, gorgeous.  Only 10 days left of tax season and I’ll be free to enjoy the great outdoors again!  I feel like such a hermit.  Luckily, my countdown jars have assured me that I can join civilization soon enough…

In other news, we are moving to downtown Denver after tax season!!  I’m so excited, I’ve been packing in between doing taxes.  Does this girl know how to relax or what?  We can start moving in on April 15, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be busy that day. 😉   I’ll post pics of the new kitchen once we move in!  I have a serious pile of recipes I can’t wait to tackle after tax season.

Favorite Burger: French Onion Burger.  Oh hey burger, you look good.  Can you please jump from the computer into my mouth?  Thanks.

Favorite Dress: Summer Night Stroll Dress in Green.  I’m pretty sure I would live in this dress all summer if I owned it.  I’m already accessorizing it in my head.  Some gold bangles or a long sparkly necklace.  Ok, I’ve convinced myself, I need it.

Favorite Dip: Cheesecake Cake Better Dip.  I’d like to make a vat of this.  Cheesecake AND sprinkles!

Favorite Spoons: Hand Stamped Spoons from Jessica N Designs.  There are a ton of cute sayings on these hand stamped spoons, I can’t decide which one I like the best!

Favorite Appetizer: Baked Polenta Triangles.  These tasty triangles are loaded with mozzarella cheese, goat cheese, and thyme.  I think I want to have an appetizer party just so I can make these.

Favorite Floors: This wood floor is my dream floor.  I need a nice worn in wood so when I drop cans and such on the floor it won’t even matter. 🙂

Favorite Meal: Seared Scallops with Browned Butter Lemon Sauce.  Is this not the perfect meal for spring?

Favorite Hair: Shoulder Length Hair.  Ok, I think I’m really serious about cutting my hair now.  A shorter style for summer sounds like fun.

Favorite Tart: Strawberry Tart with Vanilla Pastry Cream.  Oh how I’ve missed the fresh taste of strawberries!

Favorite View: Meteora, Greece.  Greece has now pushed itself up on my list of “I want to go to there” places with this incredible picture.

Favorite Fries: Banana Fries.  Fantastic idea!  I will definitely be making these sweet fries this summer.

Favorite Art: 13 incredible tiny paintings made out of food by artist “Red” Hong Yi.  So you’re telling me I can play my food?

Favorite Sandwich: Cobb Salad Sandwich.  Cobb Salads are made up of ingredients that are often found in sandwiches, why not combine the two?  Looks delicious (and ginormous).

Favorite Summer T-Shirt: Rockies Tee.  Now that we’ll be living near Coors Field, I better stock up on Rockies gear.  However, when they play the Cubs, I will be rocking blue and red instead. 🙂

Favorite Cupcakes: Easy Garden Cupcakes Tutorial.  Could these cupcakes be any cuter?

Favorite Funny: Check out Ron Swanson’s Grilling Webpage.  With grilling season around the corner, it’s important that you know the proper way to grill.  Ron Swanson, you are a grill master.
