Ingredients
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces, at room temperature
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
8 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped (I used Double Stuff)
Directions
Prepare an 8×8″ baking pan by lining it with foil. Set aside.
Combine the condensed milk, vanilla, chocolate chips, and butter in a medium bowl. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil and place the medium bowl with the ingredients over it. The mixture will begin to melt, continue until it is completely melted and smooth, 6-8 minutes and stirring occasionally.
Remove bowl from the top of the saucepan and stir in chopped Oreos and cocoa powder. Use a spatula to scrape the mixture into the prepared pan. Smooth over the top with the back of the spatula. Place pan in refrigerator for 2 hours, until firm.
Remove from fridge and turn the fudge out of the pan and remove foil. Slice the fudge into desired size-squares. Store in an airtight container in the fridge (or you can freeze them if you are making them ahead of time). Enjoy!
