When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! I couldn’t wait to try the lemonade recipe I posted in last week’s Friday Favorites, so I made it on Sunday! Talk about easy. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make my own lemonade. It’s simple, delicious, and the perfect refreshing drink for a hot summer day. You MUST try this at home!
Homemade Lemonade Print Recipe Here
From: uncheffed
1 cup lemon juice (from 6 – 7 lemons)
1 cup sugar
7 cups water, separated
Squeeze the lemons through a sieve or strainer until you have 1 cup of juice. You’ll want to remove all the seeds, but you can push some pulp through for a more home-style twist.
Combine the sugar with 1 cup of water in a sauce pan and heat over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves. (Congrats, you just made simple syrup!) Remove the sauce pan from heat and allow to cool for 15-30 minutes.
Combine the lemon juice and simple syrup with the rest of the water. Stir well.
Chill the lemonade for at least an hour before serving.
Enjoy!

It looks like you used a back of lemons, too! I’m glad you liked the recipe. We’ve made it a few times this summer already since it’s been so hot out. Definitely love the serving in the mason jars. It just feels old-school-homestyle like the lemonade does!
P.S. Those chairs are beautiful!

I did! Nothing’s better than lemonade (in a mason jar) on a hot summer day. 🙂 Thanks so much! We’ve got a table to go with the chairs now, I’ll make sure to post pics of it soon!
