Time for a cookie recipe! This is my husband’s favorite cookie recipe (judging from the dozen plus I’ve eaten in the last couple of days, I must be pretty fond of these cookies too 😉 ) A few years ago I experimented with a recipe for Chocolate, White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies in a Sesquicentennial Cookbook I got at the celebration in Algona, IA in 2004 (I lived in Algona until I was 3 and have family all around that area). I use the chocolate cookie base of the recipe and add chocolate chunks and peanut butter chips instead of the white chips and macadamia nuts the original recipe calls for, thus creating our household’s favorite cookie! The chunks of chocolate melt into the cookie and create a moist center that is speckled with peanut butter chips to create the perfect flavor combo! Chocolate and peanut butter…could there BE a better combination?!
