Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!  After a few weeks off, Friday Favorites is back!  I missed my browsing the interwebs for goodies to share with you all.  Now it’s nearing the last part of September and fall is here, hooray!  I have been drooling over all of the fall flavored recipes this week.  Aren’t the flavors of fall the best?  I hope you’ve all had a nice September so far and enjoy this first Friday Faves of autumn!

Favorite Cookies: Caramel Cashew Cookies.  What a fresh idea for a cookie (I’m nuts for cashews).

Favorite Garland: Painted Geometric Garland.  Simple and pretty.  I wonder if you could use tissue paper in a pinch?

Favorite Meal: Apple Stuffed Pork Loin.  Just imagine the smell that would fill your house while this dish is cooking.  Mmmmmmm.

Favorite Kitchen Tips: 8 Cooking Tips from Julia Child.  Julia never fails me.

Favorites Lasagna: Pumpkin Pie Lasagna.  I’d go Garfield for this lasagna.

Favorite Gift Giving Helper: Want, Need, Wear, Read.  This totally helped me out when I was buying my niece’s Bday presents a few weeks ago.  It makes gift buying so much easier than usual and it gives a good balance of want vs. need.  Although my “Need” present for her was all of the essentials for baking cupcakes.  I figure everyone needs cupcakes though.

Favorite Snack: Game Day Crack.  This is the kind of crack you can say yes to, because it isn’t of the drug or butt variety. :)

Favorite Hair: Cross Bun.  Pretty, pretty.

Favorite Breakfast: Cinnamon Roll Waffles.  A tube of cinnamon rolls and a waffle maker are all you need to make this fun breakfast.

Favorite To Buy or Not to Buy: Best and worst groceries to buy in bulk.  This list has great advice for those of you that stand in the grocery store aisle trying to figure out if you really need that second package of toilet paper.  I’m not the only one that does that, right?

Favorite Soup: Slow Cooker North Woods Wild Rice Soup.  I’m breaking out the crock pot this week, don’t try to stop me!  This soup filled with smoked turkey is irresistible.

Favorite Fashion Tip: How to tuck non-skinny jeans into boots.  This tip is sure to come in handy.  I love boot weather, sigh.

Favorite Bars: Gingerbread Bars.  Please tell me it’s not too early for gingerbread.  Want. These. Right. Now.

Favorite Funny: On this week’s episode of Duck Dynasty there was a highly entertaining trip to the dentist.  It completely reminded me of how weird Josh was after having his wisdom teeth taken out…ridiculous!

Happy Friday!
